Memorial Day 07

Mike & Katie and their kids came up to visit the family graves in the Logan Cemetery. We first visited Christian Daniel Fjeldsted's grave.

Here we see, Cheryl, Yzabel, Joseph, Mary, Jacob, Kenya, Samuel, and Katie. Mike and I are taking the pictures.

I have been reading some of the history of Christian Daniel Fjeldsted so I told a few stories to the kids.

One that Christian Daniel Fjeldsted was a founder and worked in a steel mill. A little about his 5 missions and where his house was in Logan.

We then went to visit Grandma Marjory and Grandpa Nick's graves. Someone had visited the site before we got there, which was nice to see.

Then we went over to visit Uncle Don and Helen's grave. It was good to see that someone else have visited the site before us. We thought it was Uncle Dan Taylor or Jay has arranged something.

In the past, we had visited the site on the first day of the holiday. This is the first time we had gone on Memorial day itself. It was good to see so many people visiting the graves. Many young families with lots of young kids. It is nice to see that such traditions are being kept.

Kenya & Yzabel On a Sunday Afternoon

The girls were out in the front yard on Sunday. They were so cute that I had to take pictures.

Kenya has been so excited about her new bike that we took some pictures of it as well.

And of course, Yzabel wants to show here new bike as well.

Working Together

Saturday turned out to be a fun day at Jeni's. Though it could look like we did more destruction that help we accomplished a lot. Removing the underbrush opened the space and makes it look a lot bigger.

We has fun working and visiting. I pulled two muscles in my right arm (elbow) from swinging a dull ax sideways on a standing tree. I'll have to be more careful.

Pat also hurt something in a past workday. We take after Dad don't we. We work till we hurt.
